Prayer for America 10/07/05

So many times we take for granted the beauty of the land you have given us. Let us learn to honor the ground we walk upon, to praise the air we breathe and the water we drink. Let us live each day in gratitude for the abundant foods we eat and the sun that warms our bodies. Remind us of the awesome glory of a snow-capped mountain range and the wild, unencumbered spirit of a stormy shore. Let us never forget the magic of a prairie moon or the wonder of a starry desert sky. let no sunset slip past our vision, let no amazing creature lack for our attention. make us aware, dear Creator, of all that you have created for us, and teach us to care for it well.
