A new year is upon this dear country of ours, God. When I reflect on the unpredictability of national events, it's a poignant reminder to place my trust in you and to thank you for each precious day of life in our free America. Go with us into this year, with your light of truth and your gentle grace to lead and guide us on a path of peace that, in time, may reach the whole world. In your name, amen.
