Prayer for America 01/22/06

What beautiful harmony exists within this diversified nation, God. Certainly, our differences are many, and sometimes our disagreements are heated, but we have not lost our sense of what unites us. We have found success in this great experiment of government by which many have been knit together by a common love for freedom. The world looks on in wonder, and sometimes I do, too. It's a miracle--a true miracle, Lord! Thank you for allowing me to experience it. I love being an American.

Freedom cannot be seen or touched or put in a box or marked on a map. It is not an object or a thing but a way of moving through the world unrestrained by the limitations, beliefs, or desires of others.
