Prayer for America 02/01/06

Lord, as the wheel of the year turns, be with us as we contemplate the seasons of life, each with a beauty and purpose:

In the spring of our lives, let us grow and gain strength, knowledge, and experience, ready for the time when we will be in full bloom. When summer comes, let us fulfill your hopes by being all we can be. Let our light shine out.

When fall draws close, let us reap the fruits of our early years. Help us become wise guides. As winter approaches, let us enjoy the quiet years and find true joy in what we've accomplished. Make us ready to enter into your light.

Lord, help us live in harmony with the seasons of our lives, ever moving toward the goal of eternal life with you.
