Prayer for America 10/02/05

Every day I wake with trivial problems on my mind, Lord. I'’m late for work, I didn'’t wash the kitchen floor yesterday, the house needs to be painted, and my bills are piling up endlessly. Lord, please help me enjoy life’'s most precious gifts: my family, my health, and my freedom. Teach me to appreciate that which is around me and not to ache for things I don'’t have.

I shall know but one country. The ends I aim at shall be my country'’s, my God'’s, and Truth’'s. I was born an American; I will live an American; I shall die an American. Daniel Webster
