Prayer for America 10/08/05

Father, it hurts me to watch people in this country pull away from you, especially in times like these. We need you, Lord. We need your strength, courage, and hope. We need your help and direction and peace. I don’t understand why the people who need you most acknowledge you least.

Please, Father, turn the hearts of your children back to you. Please help our people see how much you love them and how deeply you long to comfort and provide for them. Please make us strong by making us more dependent on you than ever before. Thank you, Lord, that you are always faithful even when we are not.
