Prayer for America 10/21/05

For freedom of the press, we thank you, Lord. For the right to read a newspaper and write a letter to the editor, we give you praise.

We take it for granted, sometimes: the endless shelves of magazines, the hundreds of cable channels, the libraries filled with books free for the borrowing. But so many nations do not have this ocean of ideas. And so many people are not allowed to disagree with their own governments.

So we are glad. Help us to protect this freedom. And remind us to take advantage of it. Amen.
