Prayer for America 11/10/05

 

Dearest God, in his psalms David praised you because he was fearfully and wonderfully crafted by you in his mother's womb.  Now, Mother God, I praise you for so carefully and wisely crafting this nation from its infancy.  From the first, your hand of blessing was on the people who sought your guidance as they wrote our documents and set our course.

 

Thank you for birthing us when and how you did.  as we continue to grow, God, help us grow in you  Please give our leaders the same wisdom, the same commitment to freedom and democracy.  Please give them the courage to stand against those who would steal that freedom.  Help us grow as we were born--in you.
