Prayer for America 12/02/05

Heavenly Father, help me set aside my personal fears and concerns and lift up our president, whose burdens are far greater than mine. Give him moments of family time when he can set aside the cares of a nation. Give him moments of joy in your creation--time to enjoy the song of a bird, the unfolding of a bud, the swaying of shadows on the grass, a tasty meal. Give him time, God, and let life's simple and refreshing pleasures renew his spirit. Amen.
