Prayer for America 12/04/05

Heavenly Father, we confess that we have not always treated other countries with the respect due them. Out of ignorance, we have made enemies and created resentment. Forgive us, Lord, for our oversight.

In times of trouble, we have learned who our friends and enemies are. Help us nurture our friendships and make peace with our enemies.

Make us sensitive to the rights of people of other races and creeds. Help us understand and improve relationships with those who should be our allies. Help us give them the respect they deserve.

You number the hairs of our heads. You acknowledge the value of each individual. Lord, help us do the same.
