Prayer for America 01/18/06

History reveals that few if any nations have ever enjoyed so much freedom, in all levels of society, as we do here in the United States of America. I move about so easily in the freedoms I enjoy, Father. Sometimes I forget that they're rare and wonderful gifts. Surely you mean for us to use our liberty to give something back and not just to take; to offer respect and love to our fellow citizens, not prejudice and strife; to act responsibly, not selfishly. Help us, Lord, by your grace, to enjoy and preserve our freedoms in the spirit of your love and righteousness. Amen.
