Prayer for America 01/23/06

Sometimes life makes no sense. Bad things happen to good people, the weak and innocent suffer, and our world seems out of step with your plan. It's hard to raise our voices in song when our hearts are heavy with sadness. And it's hard to move on when each minute lasts an eternity. When doubt and confusion come calling, Lord, strengthen our faith, just for today.

Just for today, Lord, give us the strength to live in your name and do your will.

Just for today, Lord, remind us that everything has a place in your divine order and that our faith will be rewarded eternally.

Help us stay faithful as we walk with you in our hearts just for today.
