Prayer for America 01/28/06

Lord, help us to make the right choices when trouble enters our lives. We can choose to act from fear, or we can choose to respond from love.

Help us to go within and seek your view before we act. Lead us to peace within ourselves, and grant us your wisdom so we gain insight and respond from love and strength.

When trouble bursts uninvited into our lives, remind us who we are: children of God. Remind us that our pledge is to life, here and for all eternity. Teach us how to follow your example.

When sadness comes, Lord, walk with us. Open our eyes so we see how it makes us strong. It's through our trials that we grow to fully become who we are. Pray with us so we make the right choice. Fill us with the power of love.
