Prayer for America 02/05/06

Bless the leaders of the world, O God.

Give each leader the wisdom to see clearly,
the presence of mind to consider all possibilities before acting,
the compassion to see those who are hurting,
the lack of ego that leads to cooperation,
the humility to listen to others,
the patience to talk things through,
the courage to make tough decisions,
the faith to trust in your power,
and the strength to work for peace in all situations.



Bless those who lead and we who support their leadership. May the goal of peace be always foremost in all our minds. Amen.
