Prayer for America 02/07/06

Father, help me embrace my responsibilities as a citizen of this land of many freedoms. Remind me that rights and responsibilities go hand in hand, that freedom cannot exist without careful and consistent stewardship of it. Keep me focused on the privileges I enjoy so that my burden of duty will seem light. And let me serve well, as unto you. In your name, amen.

Today, I long to make a difference--to pass along peace and joy and somehow resurrect hope in weary hearts.
