Prayer for America 02/17/06

Keep us united, Lord! Political issues can polarize us. Cultural differences can make us suspicious of one another. Our views on values can cause us to devalue those who don't agree with us. Please help us, God! Help us not to give in to hatred and abuse of one another. Help us rise above such base human tendencies and find the higher ground of tolerance, understanding, cooperation, respect, and most of all, love. You said love was the greatest virtue. Let love have first place in our dealings with one another. In your name, amen.
