Prayer for America 03/02/06

Lord, when the time comes to make changes in our lives, help us accept them and know that they're for our good and our growth. Please, God, let us, as a nation, make the same prayer for our country.

Make us willing to listen prayerfully for the quiet voice of divine discontent with which you speak to us. Give us the wisdom to hear and heed your words. We are creatures of habit; it is hard for us to move outside our comfort zones. But we know the voice of change ignored will get louder and louder, until it drowns out every other sound in our lives.

Endow us with courage, Lord, to listen to you and to live our lives according to your words and wisdom. Amen.
