Prayer for America 07/14/06

God, I am refreshed and renewed today after sleeping in the security of your love. But I also had the blessing of sleeping in a country where people guard my community, state, and nation. God bless these guardians with every grace; bless each police officer, firefighter, soldier, and sailor. Their names are seldom mentioned in newspapers or on TV, but they do a hero’s work every day. As they prepare for sleep this evening, please touch them with your soothing hand so that they, too may sleep in peace.
