Prayer for America 07/25/06

God, the faces of our children are fresh with wonder and excitement and awe. They see the world through eyes of hope, with hearts of joy. They breathe in the sun. They drink in the sky. They soak up the earth. They dance in the wind, giggle at bugs, and applaud the stars. Help us to be like them.

the faces of our elderly are lined with love and life and peace. They see the world through eyes of wisdom, with hearts of courage. They mediate on truth. They rejoice in commitment. They reflect on character. They dance in the breeze, smile at new life, and applaud the heavens above. Help us to be like them. Amen.
