Prayer for America 11/14/05

Eternal God, it is hard to grasp that we live in eternity today. We do what we need to accomplish, we plan ahead as much as we are able, but we can never view the future in its fullness. Will our struggles for justice bring a new tomorrow? Do any of our actions ultimately make a difference? Give us the courage to act and the faith to believe that if we act with goodness in our hearts, and with your help, a new future can be born. You have been with us since the beginning and will be with us past the end; please fill our hearts this day, and help us live in your eternity. Amen.

Faith delivers us from sad yesterdays and sends us toward happy tomorrows.
