Prayer for America 12/15/05

Someone on my street needs you today, God. Perhaps they need me to act on your behalf. We are all carriers of grace, and our private, gracious acts give our country and communities their strength. So use me, God, to shine your light of radiance and love onto my street. Give me the eyes to see your will and give me the strength to do it. A neighbor needs someone to smile, or to bake a plate of cookies, or to pick up the kids after school. Lord, make me that someone. Amen.
