Prayer for America 01/14/06

Often, Lord, fear runs rampant through my mind. I'm afraid for my country, I'm afraid for my family, and I'm afraid for victims of cruel acts. Most of my fears are unfounded, Lord. I know that. You have promised to be with me, and I need to trust your presence in my life. Please help me, and others, to live by your word and in peace.

We know that there is no greater burden than to think no one cares or understands. That is why the promise of your presence is so precious to us, you who said: "Remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
