Prayer for America 03/21/06

Father, I glory in the precious gift of freedom you've lavished on our nation. Freedom to worship you. Freedom to speak our minds. Freedom to meet together to worship. Many around the world don't understand it because they've never tasted it.

Help us never take that freedom for granted, God. Help us appreciate the freedom that we have in you and the freedom of being Americans. And help us use our freedom for the good of all, never for wrong. Thank you, God, for our freedom.

Sometimes people call me an idealist. Well, that is the way I know I am an American...America is the only idealistic nation in the world. President Woodrow Wilson
