Prayer for America 04/04/06

Lord, you often speak to us through dreams. Through our dreams, you fill us with your Spirit. You whisper your will and wisdom and call us to act for the good of others in your glorious name.

Dreams of faith and freedom carried the first Americans across a wide and raging ocean. Dreams of hope and liberty led our ancestors to this beautiful country and helped them make it our home. Dreams of justice gave our people strength and conviction to fight for the weak wherever they might be in the world.

We are proud to be citizens of a country founded on dreams.
