Prayer for America 04/05/06

Heavenly Father, with happy hearts we praise you for the beauty of our country in springtime: for the awakening of life, for the refreshment of rain, for the promise of good things to come.

We have lived through a time of darkness, but winter is past. Life is beginning anew. You come to us like the rains that water the earth or the soft breezes that caress our cheeks.

It is a time of singing throughout our land, and you stir up in us songs of hope, songs of love, and songs of joy.
