Prayer for America 05/30/06

Thank you, Lord, for pilgrims, pioneers, and astronauts--for all those who take risks so that we can follow. There is a spirit of adventure in our land, a thirst for the noble and the new.

Thank you for the blessings we enjoy because someone else had the courage to go first. And help us be more like them. Give me an adventure today, God. Give me some new place to go or some small new thing to do. Then give me the courage I need to follow in the footsteps of those who made us free. Amen.

For those of you who are retired, we will always be in your debt.
For those of you who are still serving, you are in our hearts and prayers.
For those that we have lost, you will always be remembered.
