Prayer for America 07/31/06

America is such a beautiful land. We talk of amber waves of grain and purple mountains majesty, but that is just a quick assessment. America is beautiful in every way. Of course its landscapes are beautiful but so are its people, its beliefs, its freedoms, its leaders, and its history. I am so thankful to be a part of America and so proud to call it home. Amen.

Gratitude must guard the American soul. Without it, we will become reckless, foolish, and greedy. With it, however, we remain peaceful, contented, and generous--a people who can afford to be proud.
