Prayer for America 07/27/06

Lord, you promised to send the seasons as long as the earth endures. It is reassuring to know you have not failed us and that summer has arrived according to your timetable.

We anticipate vacations and the easing of schedules--time out to renew body and soul. We look forward to the yield of the earth--succulent fruits and vegetables, grains, and brilliant flowers crowned with color and fragrance.

Our fertile homeland is a refreshing garden, full of beauty and nourishment. May it continue to bear good fruit in your name, O Lord.
