Prayer for America 07/29/06

Father, it's not always easy to maintain a good attitude toward those you've placed in authority over us. From the president to our local city coucil, our nature is to second-guess and criticize. That's not always a bad thing, Father, but I ask that you help us respect and support our nation's leaders--even when we disagree with them.

According to your word, Father, those authorities are there because you want them there. Even those opposed to you are working out your will for America. Help us honor you by following our leaders wisely. And please, Father, put honorable men and women into those leadership roles.
