Prayer for America 09/06/05

For pastors, priests, rabbis, and other holy leaders, we give you praise. Thank you for the ways they encourage us, admonish us, and comfort us as ministers of grace. Thank you for the sacrifices they make and for the services they offer. We are a people blessed with noble, gracious servants who teach us how to love and how to give--not just with words but with their very lives. They marry us and bury us, and they touch our lives in sorrow and in joy. Be with them today, and give them what they so freely give to us. Amen.
