Prayer for America 09/08/05

Take them up on angels' wings, the heroes who die for our freedom. Take them to the promised land, the workers who risk life and limb for our safety. Take them into your loving arms, the children who huddle in fear at night. Take them to the gates of heaven, the soldiers who fight for our causes. Take each man, woman, and child who suffers from adversity to a restful, peaceful place. Take the victims of violence to a land where only love exists. Take the wounded to a world where there is no pain. Take them up on angels' wings, the heroes who once were our parents, our husbands or wives, our sons, our daughters, our friends.
