Prayer for America 11/27/05

Loving Parent, thank you for all the families in our country. God, bless them richly. For those without a family, we ask you to bring people into their lives who can fill that role. For those with broken families, we ask you to bring comfort, healing, and hope for new beginnings. For those with traditional families, we ask you to bring energy and love to daily life. For those with nontraditional families, we ask you to bring acceptance and welcoming arms in the surrounding community. For those who have never know the joyous miracle of extended family--aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins--we ask you to bring multitudes of people into their lives who can provide laughter, fun, encouragement, and a sense of belonging.

Thank you for the miracle of family. Keep our families strong, stable, and thriving. Amen.
