Prayer for America 12/16/05

In days of uncertainty, we become hesitant and afraid to lead our normal lives: to spend money, to travel, to celebrate, to laugh. But you have told us, Lord, to be of good cheer. You have overcome the world and its woes. You have set your eyes on our country, Father. We are your people, and you are our mighty fortress. We trust in you; help us face the future without fear.

When you see a shadow fall across our land, trust in the light of God behind it.
