Officer McEntee was shot to death as he was sitting in his patrol car at Woodstock and Norris streets. He and other officers had responded to an unfounded radio call. Officer McEntee was a 2½-year veteran. He was survived by his wife and daughter. Two men were arrested and found guilty of murder.
