Prayer for America 03/05/06

Who knows better than you, O Lord, the importance of teachers, for you are the Master Teacher. Our country's teachers are a great national resource. They awaken young minds and give a glimpse of the past so our children may learn to manage the future.

We acknowledge the energy and commitment it takes to work with our children each day, and we pray you will touch each of these women and men with your love and inspire them to greatness.

Keep them in your care, Father. Direct their thoughts and actions toward the benefit of our country. Help us always to encourage our teachers and to give them our greatest respect and our thanks.
