Prayer for America 04/11/06

Dear Father, honest people often disagree about the direction our country should go. They stake out positions that are directly opposed to each other, each believing theirs is the better way for our great nation to grow stronger. Fierce words are exchanged; our leaders are divided.

Father, I ask that you give wisdom to those who lead and to all who vote for our leaders. I pray that you allow us to disagree in peace and to move together toward choices that honor you. I ask that you help our leaders to know when to compromise and when to refuse to budge. Please, Father, bring our nation together.
