Prayer for America 04/29/06

Thank you, Lord, for music. For country music and rock music. Thank you for Handel and Bach, for Elvis and the Beatles. Thank you for marching bands and jazz bands and everything in between.

“Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises,” the Scriptures say (Psalm 98:4), and I am glad to do it. Thank you for stores filled with CDs and radio stations filled with songs. Thank you for old hymns and new praise songs. Give me a song today. In this and every way I give you praise. Amen.
