Prayer for America 04/27/06

God, at this very moment, thank you
for the teachers who are teaching our children,
for the doctors who are treating our sick,
for the farmers who are sowing our food,
for the judges who are protecting our laws,
for the police who are watching our streets,
for the firefighters who are saving our lives,
for the carpenters who are building our homes,
for the postal employees who are sorting our mail,
for the cobblers who are resoling our shoes,
for the students who are studying our past,
for the janitors who are cleaning our schools,
for the gardeners who are maintaining our parks,
for the engineers who are designing our roads,
and for all the other people who make life not only possible but precious. Amen.
