Prayer for America 04/25/06

Father, I’m amazed when I think of the pioneers breaking new ground on the American prairie. What courageous men and women they must have been. They moved into the land and occupied it. They set up borders. They coaxed life from new soil. They planted crops. They grew cities out of empty acres. They sacrificed their lives to build this nation, God.

Thank you fro guiding their work, for protecting them, for comforting them in their losses, for seeing them through to eventual success. Thank you, Father, for the spirit that allowed them to establish a great nation from the Atlantic all the way across the plains and the mountains to the Pacific.
