Prayer for America 06/13/06

God of the ages, we thank you for all things. Today we give special thanks for our flag, our country's symbol. We wave it high; we wave it proudly.

Our flag is not just sentiment--it represents our country's proud history. It reminds us of the experiences of our people in good times and bad.

You have been the major portion of our history, Lord. You have been our refuge, our strength, our help, and our hope throughout the ages. Stand by us now as we pray, as we raise our flags, for with these banners we honor you, our God, as well as our country.
