Prayer for America 07/05/06

Dear God, I know this land isn't my final home. I know I'll spend forever in heaven with you. And that's my greatest hope and closest comfort. But, Father, I love this country you've placed me in. I love the expanse of it. I love the diversity of it. And, mostly, I love the freedom you've give us in it.

I know that one day I'll dwell in a land flowing with milk and honey, where I'll roam golden streets with dry eyes and perfect peace. In the meantime, though, I'm so grateful to live in the land of the free and home of the brave, where I'm free to speak your name and enjoy your blessings.
