Prayer for America 07/19/06

Father, thank you for the "grandparents" of this nation--the praiseworthy men and women of the past who have invested their lives in making this a great country. I owe them a debt of gratitude, dear Lord, and I pause to honor them now. I thank you for their dedication to the welfare of the USA. I bless them for their love of country and commitment to making it an even better place for those who would come after them. I pause for a moment of silence in memory of those have given their lives to that end. Amen.
