Prayer for America 08/10/06

Father, you've allowed us to become one of the richest nations ever. Compared to the rest of the world, very few of us lack food, shelter, or clothing. In fact, most of us live in what the rest of this globe would describe as luxury. Houses. Cars. Clothes. Electronics. Convenience. We live in great bounty.

Thank you, Lord, for those innumerable blessings. Thank you for meeting our needs and giving us much that we can scarcely enjoy it all. Help us never forget that every good gift comes from you. And help us overcome our tendency to trust those things instead of you.
