Prayer for America 08/17/06

I thank you, Lord, for airports and train stations filled with hugs and hope. I sit and watch the multi-cultural crowd, alive with energy, anxiety, vitality, and joy.

We are a people on the move. We have waited for the ship and stage and train to take us west and bring us home. and by your grace, we find our purpose and our place.

Thank you for this simple freedom--the freedom to decide where we want to go and the ability to go there. Give us grace, and bring us safely home. Amen.
