Prayer for America 03/30/06

God, we have become so accustomed to our freedoms, we have been lulled into apathy. We've nearly forgotten what it took to obtain those freedoms and to keep our country independent. Wars, loss of life, and deprivation have visited us all too often. When we are awakened to the possibilities of losing our way of life, our freedoms become instantly dearer.

Forgive us, Father, for taking our democracy and our good life for granted. Bless and protect our native land. Help us, we pray, to regain our patriotic fervor and to preserve our country for the generations to come.
