Prayer for America 03/28/06

God, what makes a nation strong? Is it money? Is it armies? Is it pride? No, Lord. Our nation's strength is its people who have worked hard and suffered so our country could grow.

We honor the people from the present and the past, who, with you at their sides, have made our land great. May we follow in their footsteps, Lord, and be worthy of the name "American".

America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!
