Prayer for America 04/23/06

God, I praise you for the great spirit of exploration you've instilled in the hearts of Americans. From the courageous pilgrims who endured an ocean to land on barren shores in search of freedom, to the pioneers who pushed into and through the wilderness of the West to find opportunity, to the astronauts who strap themselves to rockets to be propelled to the moon and beyond.

What wonderful things you've allowed us to find, Lord. We can only imagine the new discoveries that await as we push up into space, down into oceans, and deeper into our own cells. Thank you, Lord, for the great missions you've granted us. Help us to fulfill them with your blessing; let us honor you, dear God, with what we find.
