Prayer for America 05/05/06

God, some have called America a great experiment. Can a nation of free people govern themselves? Can they remain free and powerful and organized around one set of ideals? So far, God, so good. You’ve blessed us well beyond what we could ever have done for ourselves. You’ve made America the greatest nation on earth.

God, I ask that you keep reminding us that we need you and that you are the source of our success as a nation. Please help us to always remember what you’ve done for us and what you would have us do for you. Please help us be a nation that points the world to you, God, and not just to ourselves.
