Thank you, Father, for this free and diverse people. Bless this melting pot, and season it with your grace.

Bridge the gaps between us, and heal our broken hearts. Take away our suspicion, and help us see each other as you see us--not white or black or brown or yellow, Christian or Jew, male or female--as people who need each other and need you.

Help us celebrate our differences. Amen.

Many homelands but only one home.
Many ethnic backgrounds but only one citizenship.
Many philosophies but one freedom that protects us all.
