Prayer for America 05/08/06

I drove home yesterday evening and viewed the most awesome sight: the red, white, and blue banner of America waving against the black night sky, with a fully gray moon off to the side. The flag seemed to be waving its freedom defiantly. I realized then that we will remain the home of the free through the dark of night and the light of day until you, O mighty God, decide otherwise.

“The land of the free and the home of the brave” is more than a description of America--it is a definition of life as it should be lived by all humanity.
